Editorial policy
How is Helio41 content produced and reviewed?
Every fact on Helio41 lives in a structured data layer with a named source and a verification date, and pages read from it rather than restating numbers in prose. A page can only publish when the data it depends on is verified — that rule is enforced by an automated gate at build time, not by an editor remembering. AI assists with explanation and drafting, and is never the source of truth for a fact.

Where our facts come from
We prefer primary sources, in this order: government and regulators; the utilities themselves; national datasets such as NREL; manufacturer documentation; and eventually our own installation data. Third-party sources are used only where no primary source publishes the fact, and they are labelled as such.
What we will not publish
- A price with no dated, sourced basis.
- An incentive, tax credit, rate or utility rule stated from memory rather than checked against a current source.
- Fabricated reviews, case studies, sample sizes or market statistics.
- Claims that Helio41 has installed projects, holds licences or has partnerships that do not exist.
- Pages whose text is essentially identical apart from a city name substitution.
- Structured data that does not match what is visible on the page.
How AI is used
AI helps us explain verified information in plain English, draft questions people genuinely ask, and check content for clarity and internal consistency. It does not decide what is true. Pricing, rates, incentives, regulations, product specifications, licensing, warranty and financing terms all come from sources recorded in our data layer, and the build fails if a page makes one of those claims without one.
Freshness and correction
Each source category carries a maximum age. Rates and incentives expire hardest, because a stale one is actively misleading; when a value passes its window it is withheld from pages rather than shown with a caveat. If you find something wrong on this site, tell us and we will correct the underlying record, which corrects every page that uses it.
Common questions
Who reviews content?
Content is reviewed against the source records behind it. We do not currently have named external expert reviewers, and we are not going to invent bylines to suggest otherwise. When real reviewers are engaged, they will be named here.
How often is content updated?
Whenever the underlying data changes. Because facts are stored centrally, updating a source record updates every page citing it, and the freshness check flags anything approaching its expiry before it goes stale.
Do you accept sponsored content?
No. Helio41 earns from connecting homeowners with installers, which is disclosed on our About page. Equipment coverage is not paid for.
